Heather N. Orisko, Esquire, is an Attorney with the Dethlefs-Pykosh Law Group, LLC in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
Ms. Orisko has always been dedicated to the protection of defendant’s rights. With her experience and extensive background, Ms. Orisko concentrates her practice in the areas of Criminal Defense, Driving Under the Influence Law and Bankruptcy.
Born and raised in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, she graduated from Avella High School. In 1998, Ms. Orisko graduated from Washington and Jefferson College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, with an emphasis in comparative politics and international affairs. She also minored in Russian Language. Upon graduation, she continued her interests in comparative politics and attended the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs and obtained a Master’s Degree in Public and International Affairs and a Specialization Certificate in Criminal Justice. In 2000, she moved from the Pittsburgh area and attended Widener University School of Law – Harrisburg Campus, from which she earned a Juris Doctorate degree in 2003. During her studies at Widener University, Ms. Orisko worked at the Harrisburg Civil Law Clinic and completed internships at the Law Office of John P. Neblett and Lightman & Welby. Ms. Orisko was admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in 2003 and subsequently to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Prior to working at the Law Offices of Darrell C. Dethlefs, Ms. Orisko served as an Assistant Public Defender for over four years, representing indigent clients in York County. This position required her to appear extensively in court on a daily basis, addressing probation violations, domestic relations contempts, protection from abuse orders, involuntary psychiatric petitions and, of course, criminal hearings and trials. She was also actively involved in appellate word.
Besides practicing in York, Ms. Orisko has also actively represented numerous clients in other counties in Central Pennsylvania including, Adams, Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster and Lebanon Counties, concentrating almost exclusively on Driving Under the Influence Law.
With her free time, Ms. Orisko enjoys bird watching, playing piano, fitness, tennis and urban exploration, mostly of Standing But Not Operating Amusement Parks and Defunct Amusement Parks such as Idora Park in Youngstown, Ohio and Chippewa Lake Park in Medina, Ohio.
