The Credit Bureaus are allowed to leave a Chapter 7 bankruptcy on your credit reports for up to ten years from the time of the filing. A Chapter 13 bankruptcy is removed after seven years from the filing date. Accounts included in either type of bankruptcy should come off after seven years. At the Law Office of Darrell C.
