Darrell C. Dethlefs, Esquire is the owner of the Law Office of Darrell C. Dethlefs. Mr. Dethlefs' practice emphasizes Real Estate Law, Lending, Title Insurance, Business Organization, and Workers' Compensation.
Mr. Dethlefs is also an experienced litigator. He has tried to a jury both civil and criminal cases. Mr. Dethlefs has also argued cases before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. And, he has handled cases before the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Appeal Board.
Mr. Dethlefs' practice emphasizes real estate, lending, title insurance, and finance. He is a principal in the title insurance agency, Capital Area Abstract, Inc. as well as Global Mortgage Services, Inc. which has offices located in Lewistown and Reading, Pennsylvania.
Darrell C. Dethlefs graduated with honors from Villanova University in 1987. Mr. Dethlefs earned his law degree in 1990 from the Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. While in law school he was a member of the appellate moot court.
Immediately following law school, Mr. Dethlefs was an associate in the Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury departments of a Harrisburg area Personal Injury Law Firm. On January 1, 1993, Mr. Dethlefs opened his law office in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
Shortly after opening his practice in 1993, Mr. Dethlefs undertook representation of a local national bank as its solicitor. In that position Mr. Dethlefs was a member of the bank's asset classification committee.
Mr. Dethlefs' law office has closed over 8000 real estate transactions. Mr. Dethlefs has handled some of largest real estate transactions in central Pennsylvania including single transactions as large as $72,000.000.00.

Mr. Dethlefs is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Insurance as a Pennsylvania Land Title Agent. He is a title agent for the Security Title Guarantee Corporation of Baltimore and LandAmerica/Lawyers Title. Mr. Dethlefs served previously as local commercial counsel for LandAmerica Commercial Services in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. In that position he handled complex commercial real estate transactions from inception to settlement. Clients included real estate investment trusts and TICs. LandAmerica is the parent company for three of the largest title insurance companies in the world.
Mr. Dethlefs' affiliation with the Security Title Guarantee Corporation of Baltimore goes back 11 years.
In addition to his law practice, Mr. Dethlefs is a director in Capital Area Abstract, Inc., a local title insurance agency. Mr. Dethlefs is also the incorporator and an officer of Global Mortgage Services, Inc.
Mr. Dethlefs is a licensed real estate agent in Pennsylvania. He is affiliated with RSR Realtors in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Dethlefs is married to Kathleen Kohlhaas. They have three children: Colin; Emily; and Russell.
